I'm a 50 year old father, gamer, content creator, artist, song writer and now game develop.... ish!

I've been playing games since 1976 and I don't intend to stop any time soon!

Spell Unka is a retro style platform exploration game based on the classic arcade cabinet games of the early 80's.

Inspiration has been taken from classic such as Pitfall and of course Spelunker and 80's / 90's movie, TV and game related references can be seen throughout. 

CONTROLS:

1 or Gamepad 'Select' = Insert Coin
Space or Gamepad 'A' = Start Game

Arrow keys Left and Right or Gamepad Left and Right = Move Player Left and Right
Arrow key Down or Gamepad Down = Duck
Space Bar or Gamepad 'A' button = Jump

Duck and Jump together (Down + Space or Gamepad 'A') = Drop bomb (If aquired)

S = Scanline ON/OFF
B = Arcade Bezel ON/OFF
M = Music ON/OFF
P or Gamepad 'Start' = Pause (Artifact Menu)

Welcome to Jingle Bombs a little one screen, BombJack/Bubble Bobble inspired arcade game...

The premise is to help Santa save Christmas from the evil Krampus, who has planted bombs in Christmas tree baubles in an attempt to sabotage the big day...

Collect and defuse the Baub-Bombs and extra bonus chocolate coins along the way...

Oh and don't forget your brussel sprouts for some extra Christmas "Magic"

Controls (Currently keyboard only):

Arrow keys for left and right
Space bar to jump (Hold for higher jumps)
Space whilst falling will make the magic happen (Only if the sproutometer has fuel)

Sleeping enemies can be grabbed in Santa's sack for bonus points and collecting the Baub-Bombs in order will reward you with a perfect clear bonus score!

There is currently only one level on repeat, but it does get increasingly faster each screen cleared!

I will look at adding extra levels, enemies and maybe powerups if you guys like what you see...

Please let me know your thoughts and feedback, I think it's coming on OK, but I value your thoughts on it!

A project that I am working on which aims to take the player upon a journey through time, with uniquely new levels based upon the retro consoles and computers throughout gaming history...

Each level shall represent a different console or computer, complete with accurate screen resolutions and color palettes.

I have also attempted to recreate some of the glitches and anomolies that these system display due to thier hardware limitations.

It is a work in progress and should be treated as incomplete.

Many more consoles and computers to add to the list of levels, do you have a favourite or perhaps a suggestion for a level idea?
